The Need

South Sudan is one of the most underserved regions in the world — a place where children walk barefoot to school, widows farm with hand tools, and malaria claims lives every year. Civil war has left thousands of children orphaned and families struggling to survive.

“People were suffering to the point that I knew their suffering was a result of idol worshipping and not knowing the God who created them.”

“These kids are not going to school because they are being raised by a single mom. She cannot buy them uniforms or pay the school fees.”

African Hope Mission was born under a tree with two people, then three, then 500, and today more than 3,000 members worship across 16 churches — but the need continues to grow.

What We Are Building

Pastor Kuot’s vision is clear: every community needs a church, a school, a farm, and a clinic.

African Hope Mission

A. Primary & Nursery School (Current Priority)

The first school began inside a church with children arriving barefoot and without uniforms.

“Even if your child is naked and barefooted… just bring them to school.”

Today the school is expanding to 7th grade, and the goal is to build a full Primary & Nursery School that will serve hundreds of children who otherwise have no access to education.

Your support provides:
  • Classrooms
  • Teachers
  • School uniforms
  • Books & supplies
  • Daily meals
  • A safe place to learn and pray
B. Church Construction

Only 2 of the 16 churches have permanent buildings.

Your support helps build durable, safe worship centers where communities gather, learn, and grow.

C. Agriculture & 300‑Acre Farm

The local government granted African Hope Mission 300 acres of fertile land.

“If you cultivate this, we will give you more land.”

Funds are needed for:

  • Ox plows
  • Farm machinery
  • Water pumps
  • Seeds & tools

D. Clinics & Malaria Treatment

Malaria is deadly in South Sudan.

Malaria is the leading cause of illness and death in South Sudan. In 2025, official statistics from the South Sudan Ministry of Health recorded 5,081,222 malaria cases resulting in 2,775 deaths. These figures follow a severe period in 2024 where estimated deaths ranged between 4,000 to over 6,700.

The disease heavily impacts the vulnerable, with children under five making up the majority of these fatalities. Ongoing challenges like massive seasonal flooding, conflict-displaced populations, and limited access to healthcare infrastructure have exacerbated the crisis.

Your support helps establish clinics that provide:

  • Malaria testing & treatment
  • Basic medical care
  • Emergency support for children and families

Why This Mission Matters

Pastor Kuot’s story is one of survival, calling, and obedience.

“I was born in war, raised in war, participated in the war and finally I quit the war looking for a new life.”

“I came back broken completely. My spirit was shattered.”

“God gave me a vision of reaching 1 million souls from the Dinka tribe.”

African Hope Mission was born under a tree with two people, then three, then 500, and today more than 5,000+ members worship across 20+ churches

He now serves both:

  • The Dept. of Veterans Affairs
  • Gladstone Community Church (Pastor)
  • Missionary to South Sudan

And he continues traveling back to South Sudan — even returning to serve in the military — to build churches, teach children, and preach the Gospel.

This mission is not theoretical. It is active, urgent, and deeply personal.
